This gripper requires no actuator.  The jaws close themselves by pushing on the table.  The gripper was built by Katie Pala, Nicholas DeLuca, and Gabrielle Myers when they were undergraduate students at Notre Dame.  It appeared as an example in the paper by Hills et al., “Computing Complete Solution Sets for Approximate Four-bar Path Synthesis,” Mechanisms and Machine Theory, 2024 DOI: 10.1016/j.mechmachtheory.2024.105628
